Five of the very best shopping malls are the West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton Alberta, the Eaton center in Toronto, Ontario, The Metropolis at Metrotown in Burnaby British Columbia, Square One in Mississauga, Ontario, and Galeries de la Capitale in Québec city.

The West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton Alberta is by far the largest Mall in all of Canada. It was originally built in 1981 and has seen some major expansions since then. They mall has nearly 4,000,000 ft.² of retail space and more than 800 stores. Some of their most notable shops include Abercrombie and Fitch, Sears, Hollister Company, The Bay, T&T Supermarket, Zellers, Coast Mountain sports, London drugs, Sport Check and Chapters. The Metropolis at Metrotown in Burnaby, British Columbia is the next largest mall in Canada and also one of the very best. They have nearly 500 stores and roughly 1,700,000 ft.² of retails space. The most well-known stores include Home Outfitters, The Bay, Winters, Homesense, Zellers, T&T Supermarket, Real Canadian superstore, Toys "R" Us, Famous Players, Silver city Coast Mountain Sports and Sport Check.  As you can see, these are a lot of the same stores that can be found that West Edmonton Mall. The Metropolis at Metrotown was built in 1986.

The Eaton Centre in Toronto Ontario is another great mall. They have a little over 330 stores and 1,700,000 ft.² of retail space. You will find Abercrombie and Fitch, Sears, Coast Mountain Sports, Indigo books and music, H & M, Williams-Sonoma and a variety of other stores.  This mall was first opened in the 1977 and continues to be one of the best malls in Toronto and all of Canada. If you are in the city and are looking for great places to shop, the Eaton Centre is an outstanding choice. With over 300 stores to visit and nearly 2 million square feet of retail space, you will find lots of great shopping.

Galeries de la Capitale in Québec city, Québec is another excellent mall.  It was built in 1981 and has 1,500,000 square feet of retail space. You'll find 280 shops including Future shop, Simons, Sports Experts, Zellers and Renaud-Bray.
