Anytime someone writes a “best of” list, the author's picks are always up for debate. This article won't be any different. Below, I am going to list and discuss the top three amusement parks in Canada. While I have my own reasons for making my picks, you will likely have your own for the ones that you deem best. Therefore, let's agree upfront to disagree. The three best Canadian amusement parks in my estimation are Canada's Wonderland. La Ronde and the Galaxyland Amusement Park.

Canada's Wonderland is the biggest amusement park in Canada. It is also all one of the most popular and known affectionately by locals as Wonderland. Millions of people a flock to the theme park each year to ride the various roller coasters, visit the water park and enjoy other rides and games. Currently, Wonderland has more than 200 rides and a 330 acre park solely for water fun. Time Warp and the Behemoth are two of Wonderland’s most famous and popular roller coasters. Splash Works is also on the property and this is Wonderland’s water park. They have lots of great pools and slides. You will have a chance to ride the Super Soaker and the Plunge which are two very fast waterslides.

La Ronde is another really good Canadian amusement park. It is the biggest one in Québec and is only smaller then Canada's Wonderland.  Every year there is a fireworks competition that's very popular in the area. One of the best-known rides is the Monster. This is the roller coaster made out of wood. It is extremely exciting and a very popular ride. The Tornade is another great choice for individuals who like roller coasters. In all, there are more than 40 rides that visitors can try.  They also have water rides. These are often perfect when the weather is hot. The Splash is a boat that goes over a waterfall. It gets its’ riders extremely wet and is a lot of fun and refreshing during the hot, summer months.

Galaxyland Amusement Park can be found at the West Edmonton Mall.  It's been around since the early 1980s and has almost 30 rides all which are indoors. This is a great place to take the family and gives everyone something to do. Some people in your group may want to go shopping, others to the movies and still others to the amusement park. At the theme park, you will find bumper cars and a cool carousel.  There are also go carts and a ferris wheel. If you are feeling adventurous, consider trying the indoor roller coaster called the Mind Bender. This is a very exciting ride even though it is indoors.

My three picks for the best amusement parks in Canada are Canada's Wonderland, La Ronde, and Galaxyland Amusement Park. Each of these theme parks have great rides, lot of things to do and are fun for the entire family.
