Canada is a fantastic place to visit for persons who love and appreciate culture and the arts. Every year, throughout the country, there are lots of really great festivals and performance, many of which are world renown. While in the city, there a couple of places that you should make sure to visit while you are in town. The EPCOR Centre for the Performing Arts is one of those places.  The Southern Alberta Jubilee auditorium also hosts a number of great performances. Calgary was recently named the most cultured city in Canada. Many locals spend a lot of their money and time going to various performances in the city and also visiting museums. In a recent study, it was found that individuals that live in Calgary participate in the most cultural events.

The EPCOR Centre for the Performing Arts is a very huge building. It is over two city blocks. The Centre has five theatres, one being the Jack Singer Concert Hall which can house 2000 people. It has fantastic acoustics and on most nights some type of performance might be going on. This might be plays or concerts. The Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra plays there. There are also three theatre companies that call the EPCOR Centre home. While visiting the city, consider taking the C-Train. You may also use the walkway system.

The Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium is another really big cultural center. It is in the Northwest part of the city. It also plays host to lots of various performances including Broadway plays and productions. The opera and the ballet can also be seen at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium.

These are not the only places for individuals to enjoy art and culture to visit. There are other places around the city, though they are typically much smaller.  You can check out clubs, recital halls and other theatres where you can find great performances. You just need to do a little bit of digging. If you ask the concierge at your hotel, they will be able to provide you with some good options.

Calgary is a fantastic place to visit, especially for persons that enjoy the arts. Calgary is considered one of the most cultured cities in Canada.
